We've been in the cycling supply chain since 2011.

Over the past fifteen years, we've worked with thousands of riders — commuters, weekend warriors, urban cyclists. And the more stories we heard, the more one problem kept us up at night: most "safety" gear on the market is practically invisible in the dark.

Reflective strips only work when a car's headlights hit you first. That means your safety depends entirely on the driver behind you noticing you in time.

We decided that wasn't good enough.

That's why we built Smart LED Cycling Gear — to give riders the power to be seen, not just hope to be seen.

We didn't want to make another generic plastic bike light. We wanted to merge serious safety with modern street style. Backed by over a decade of supply chain expertise, we engineered a new category of smart wearable cycling gear: integrated LED smart helmets for high-visibility head-level alerts, dynamic LED tail lights, and customizable animated LED crossbody bags that keep you safe and look good doing it.

And we made a promise to ourselves: life-saving gear shouldn't cost a fortune. You won't find $300 "tech luxury" here. Every product is designed to be lightweight, functional, and priced so that safety is never out of reach.

We're not just a gear store. On our blog, we regularly publish night-riding safety guides and real-world cycling tips — because we believe the knowledge we've built over 15 years belongs to every rider on the road.

Meet the Founders

    "Fifteen years in manufacturing taught me one thing: there are no shortcuts when a cyclist's life depends on your product."

    Cres has spent his career on factory floors and in testing labs — not boardrooms. Since 2011, he's been obsessed with the details that most brands overlook: waterproofing integrity, circuit reliability, and materials that stay light without sacrificing durability.

    It was Cres who first identified the critical flaw in traditional cycling safety gear: passive reflectors are nearly invisible to drivers until it's too late. That insight became the foundation of everything we build. Drawing on 15 years of deep manufacturing expertise, he pioneered a new category — smart, active-visibility cycling gear that doesn't force riders to choose between safety and style.

    At Smart LED Cycling Gear, Cres leads product R&D, hardware engineering, and end-to-end supply chain management.

  • Swen (CongJian Chai) — Co-Founder | Head of Brand & Global Growth

    "Great safety gear shouldn't be a luxury. We built this brand to put the best protection directly in every rider's hands — at a price that makes sense."

    Swen is the architect behind SmartLEDCyclingGear.com and the driving force behind our global DTC model. With deep expertise in Google-driven e-commerce and international digital marketing, he built our direct-to-consumer channel from the ground up — cutting out every middleman and passing those savings directly to our customers.

    But Swen's mission goes beyond sales. As the editor behind our content library, he translates 15 years of night-riding safety knowledge — including EU and US regulatory standards — into practical, no-fluff guides for cyclists worldwide. His goal: make sure every rider who ventures out after dark has the information and the gear to come home safe.
